Concerning choice, to me it is obviously the platinum version that wins over the RG, and that because of the combination with the enamel dial (seeing the two in the flesh could offcourse change my mind).
I will remember this PLM as the X-mas watch !!!

It's just i would say a less sophisticated way to say "stop-seconds". But i believe what you are referring to is the function where the entire movement stops after 36 hours exactly? I dont know what the name of that is, but since it stops the whole drive-...
