I enjoy both the large and subsidiary seconds hands. I do enjoy how the large seconds hand makes the RL feel more alive. The RL is magnificent to wind... with one half turn the watch begins running immediately. However, there is an understated elegance to the subsidiary seconds as well. Today it is a tie. Perhaps I need a Lange chrono to see the subsidiary seconds from another angle before I make a final decision

I couldn't resist this 1815 any longer. Nobody can top Jocke's photos, but I will attempt to post some better pictures and comparison pictures to my Richard Lange in the coming weeks, as well as my impressions of the watch. The 1815 has gained 10 seconds ...

I read your long answer before you edited it and appreciated it a lot. I think the only alternative with the 1815 would have been to leave the position of the subsidiary seconds as is, and simply remove the 6. The again, perhaps this would ruin the symmet...
