For me

you have two of the nicest Lange watches in the current collection (with maybe the exception of the ultra thin Saxonia 37mm which had a nicer patina than the 35mm Saxonia which is only noticeable if you place them side by side but you lose the small seocnds counter).   Enjoy these two superb dress watches!

Comparing the two

 By: rnaden : April 16th, 2021-21:35
Taking some time today to appreciate a little more my two Lange's. I've owned the 1815 for a little over 4 years now and that has been my go to watch for most days, as is evident from the scratches and hairlines on the case. No, I won't polish it off as I...

Thanks, happy to share

You have the top 2 dress watches of all time bro

Once again, such a duo makes me wonder why we ever need more watches. Beautiful pics too. Cheers Robin

That’s so true

Even with these two - and our discussion yesterday came to mind....I also asked if I actually needed these two! LOL! I’m glad to only indulge into those rhetorical questions and haven’t had to face a situation where that choice was required.

You “get it”

Enjoying such superb watches and not treating them too precious and simply wearing them is the real win here. Nice pair.

It would be a travesty....

...if all we did was to hide these beauties in a dark box somewhere. The artisans who created them never intended for that

The Saxonia ultra thin

looks a lot richer (a darker tone) when placed next to Saxonia 35mm which to me looks more attractive. I do like the dial on the 35mm Saxonia though.

Thanks for explaining!

The shade is certainly different

 By: rnaden : April 17th, 2021-01:31
I do find the Saxonia thin a little too austere for my tastes, and I do like to have the seconds there so I know it is doing something. One thing about the Thin that I do like is that two of the wheels are visible on the movement and not everything is hid...

The size was the winning factor for me

Appears small on paper at 35mm, but on the wrist, it has a very nice presence. I think if it was bigger, it might be a little overwhelming for my wrist.

great pair you've from ALS...

I've a soft corner to 1815 more driven by the numerals, rail track - having said that Saxonia has its own elegance due to its size/propotions as a dress watch. Thanks for sharing & enjoy them in good health. Best, mahesh.,

It’s exactly what made me buy that as my first Lange 4 years ago

and I still love it as much today.

Interesting comparison and nice pics.

Update on the 1815 and Saxonia duo?

 By: jfstudios21 : January 6th, 2022-06:10
I'm considering this exact pair as I already have the 1815. Are you still satisfied with your duo? Do you think the Saxonia could be dressed down with a more casual strap? The other option would be a Saxonia Outsize Date. As much as I love the Lange 1 and...

Dressing down is probably doable though I have not tried it out

 By: rnaden : January 6th, 2022-16:03
And yes, I’m still very satisfied with this duo. In fact, I think the Saxonia has edged out the 1815 in terms of wrist time over the past few months, and I’m 99.9% dressed in t shirts and jeans. Personally, I think either watch works with formal and casua...

Two beautiful classics!

….and the photos. You’ve lit the 1815 fire in my belly again! 🔥 Oh dear! 🙄
