Excellent report,
and I learned a lot about these tourbillions. You shot great pictures and adding videos was a true improvement, especially when talking about this kind of complications.
I must say I thought, at the beginning of the report, and knowing your love for shaped watches (and especially the Cabaret) that the square one would have been your 1st choice.
I understand your objections though. I really find these 2 sub dials missplaced on this dial. But I like the overall square shape and the fact it is larger than a normal Cabaret.
Indeed, we all have different tastes!
The L1 looks very nice but I like the Tourbillon PLM better on that matter. But in the mean time, I find it too big really ...
So I ranked them equally and don't really find one is perfect.
As often, even if in this case the mecanical mastery is one of the best and makes Lange watches be at the top of the hill, as you said, I would add the more complicated Langes are not always the ones we prefer :p

The unconventional dial of the Richard Lange is a strong asset for this watch.
But it may also create a frustration: the feeling to do it another way, the feeling that a version without a Tourbillon would have been gorgeous... But without any doubt, Lange put in place a very efficient rotating dial system. Thanks for your comments! ...

Actually, I've never been really attracted by the Cabaret Tourbillon... (+ movie!)
even if it has some very good points including the stop tourbillon system. But I remember very well the movie which was presented it. It was during the SIHH 2008 and I have it in my memory like if it was yesterday...
