This moonphase complication now need not be reset for over One Thousand years!

That reminds me of a question I had re the moonphase (in general, not specific to the Emil).
The only watch I own with a moonpahse is a perpetual, and so I need not worry about the moon phase as I just need to set the date and all else follows. But without a date, and just a moonphase as you have here then how does one accurately set the moonphas...

If you want it to be accurate you find the nearest new / full moon, look up the time of it in a table that Lange give you and set the watch to it. Using the pusher you set the moon to full / new. Then you start moving the hour and minute hands to the curr...
I used to set the moonphase accurately when I wore this but then...
... my habits changed so that I set the moonphase disc to whatever position I think is prettiest -- usually at least a quarter moon.
Normally there are pushers on the side of the case advancing the indicator one day at a time...
So you only need to know how many days have passed since the last full moon
