Or rather, have to force myself to as i have a lunch appointment tomorrow before going to collect the King! I'm glad you like the strap, that is the standard strap I do for ALL my Pt watches, whether Lange or not. So it's like VC's only watch 2007 kinda c...

Is this a 1815 pt? I never knew lange made a LE for the 1815 b/f it was discontinued. Or is this another model? Am I missing something? Thanks.

that was released at SIHH 2009. The previous 1815 in Platinum had no L/E to it, but this new one is released in an L/E of 500 pieces. For your info the case diameter is 40mm, and the movement is a new one entirely made by Lange ( as opposed to the older o...

Could you share with me your opinion of the 2 watches above? I have a hard time picking 1 from the 2 to acquire. They look too similar to pick a favourable one. Thanks.

How about a look close-up? This is the RL in Platinum. It has centre seconds, as oppsed to the 1815 which has a sub-seconds dial. This movement was created for the sole purpose for supreme rate accuracy, and has a gyromax style balance wheel to assist in ...  

what I meant was that they look quite the same in character. I didn't know the story behind the RL's movement. Thanks for sharing that. So it was created soley for time keeping accuracy? Was it used in other models of Lange? Talking about time keeping acc... 

Thus the movement found in the RL is unique, and not implemented in any other model. The RL PLM was also created for even greater accuracy, but no comments on that yet as I just received mine and is undergoing tests. They are totally different again i rei...

Besides the railway track minutes scale and the arabic numerals, this piece really resembles the RL PLM, especially when the size is only 0.5mm difference. It has it's own beautiful and highly deserved character. About the strap, i'll PM you. Cheers Steph...
