I would at least ask them if this is more common and who is liable.

Nonethess if it continues. you could start a new vintage/patinated lange collection trend. Actually it could develop into something uniquely sexy lange

I am the 1st owner of the watch and I got it in 2014 so the original purchase warranty's long over. I suppose an argument could be made that it's a QC issue and they should replace it for free. I will see what ALS says but I am resigned to paying extra li... 

When ALS first notified me about the 'oxidation', and I did not have the benefit of the pictures, I thought they were just random specks which I was totally ok with. I am perfectly fine with patina-ed/ imperfect dials, but a lot of love I have for this wa... 

Does that mean the integrity of the case is compromised? I would be very surprised if water got in. I am the 1st owner, and it's only been serviced once and with ALS since I got it in 2014. I don't wear it for swimming, when i run/ exercise, shower etc. A... 

May I ask how the watch was over wound?

According to my watchmaker this is something that would require a very great amount of strength in a modern manual watch. I wonder about moisture causing both issues.

I don't think I am very rough with it, I have various other manual wind watches before and I wind them just fine. Maybe just bad luck. All along I have been following the instructions stated in the manual - wind until the crown resists turning and then tu...

No intention to derail the topic but I am curious how you broke the spring. I have few watches and I am always afraid of over winding.

I just remembered winding as usual like what I did hundreds of times before, and then the winding just went slack. Anyway lesson learnt, hence from now I am not going to try to utilise the full power reserve by winding it to the max (around 55-58 turns, b... 

I have asked ALS if they can let me know the cause of the 'oxidation'? As indicated in one of my replies, my present concern is from the pictures, it looks like somehow water got in. Given that I am the 1st and original owner, and it's only been serviced ...
