What Fx is referring to: is that literally a quarter turn from a dead stop of the movement starts the seconds hand. For many watches it requires several turns to build up enough energy in the mainspring to "start" the watch. The RL and a few other's don't need this.

Yes
And this is because the Richard Lange has a mechanism to stop the watch early before its mainspring is fully exhausted in order to keep timekeeping precision to a maximum.
I love this feature on the RL PLM as well. Second hand stops at zero and starts immediately on winding

Great narrative and, as always, excellent wrist shots. I have tried the Richard Lange on the wrist a few times and it is very captivating. Elegant but bold with finishing that is well above par for the price.
Your 5th, and IMO, your best AL&S.
