I wonder if they could do this without making it bigger/thicker.
The current ZW has a single disc on the left outer edge with 13 numerals, to display the hour in a single window.
How could 24-hour time be displayed?
I can think of 3 options:
1 Somehow cramming all 24 hours onto the existing disc without reducing the size of the window (I don't see how that's physically possible).
2. Adding a new, additional disc on the left outer edge (to display 0/1/2), and reducing the # of digits on the existing disc (which also becomes a bit smaller in diameter) from 13 to 10 (displaying 0-9).
3. Adding a 13th "segment" to the existing disc (in between the 12 and the 0) that's just a gap or a transparent window, and then layering an identically sized disc that displays the numerals 13-24 right below that top 0-12 disc.
I wonder how much bigger/thicker it'd need to be, and also if a prototype design of this already exists (I'm sure Lange at least considered it!).
