For a 200 ann watch, ...

... a little underwhelming IMHO. Sorry to burst your bubble, but its my honest opnion.

At least if it was enamel dialed or something special, that would pigue my interest.

Quite sad for Lange to push out something like this as a representation of a landmark occasion. It certainly is not a landmark watch that I would yearn to own. I've been told that the Lange Boutique can't move it here.

The Moonphase is at least a different matter. However the moonphase is by and large a useless complication, except for cosmetic purposes. And pain in the A to set right given this level of accuracy. Oschelin has one that is simpler (with only 5 extra components) and much easier to set. That, in my mind is his sheer genius!

1815 200th Anniversary F. A. Lange

 By: ianny : September 21st, 2015-04:20
Truth to be told, I wasn't too impressed by it initially. But it grew on it, thanks in part to the many nice pics on this forum. And I succumbed. Two LE is better than one? Regards, Ian...

For sure :-)

The black is really deep and nice. Very classy and congratulations are in order.

Thanks Richard.

Thanks Moritz.

I wish it had more decorations on the movement to make it more interesting. But, there aren't many pt. Lange with black dial, so I can't complain too much. Regards, Ian

There are too many Vlads on PuristSPro

Beautiful, congrats Ian!

It would be pretty cool to have your new acquisition photographed next to your platinum RL One black, one white, both about 40mm. The yin/yang of platinum Langes!

That's a great idea.

 By: ianny : September 21st, 2015-08:21
Even though the RL is slightly larger at 40.5 mm. I think I'd do just what you suggested. Thanks bro! Regards, Ian

congrats!

Many points have been discussed on this anniversary PT 1815

and many of us, including me, have the same thoughts as you. I had also wished for a more special anniversary 1815 Lange to be honest The 1815 honey gold is imho a very cool watch! I love it and regretted not getting it when I had the chance (Ianny will k...

Inappropriate "in my huble opinion" too

First, this is a celebration post, not a review/critic thread. So instead of showering his pleasure you could just say, "congratz to get what you like". Secondly, There was the L1 Tourbillon Anniversary with enamel dial already: and not at the same price ...

Though I wished for a more special anniversary Lange, I must say this PT anniversary is at a good price point and is still a handsome and nice Lange. And as stated, let\'s share Ian\'s joy and be happy with a community that shares. I am always happy to se...

My discomfort was not with content, but with context. Context is (almost) everything.

congratulations for this wonderful watch...mine says..

 By: christianch : September 25th, 2015-07:54
Hello Enjoy this watch as it is truly stunning and very wearable. I succumbed to the temptation because I feel that is a very special anniversary edition and (finally) a LE without an astronomic price. This watch is very coherent with the lange aim to hav...

It is a great 1815.

What are your thoughts 1 month later?

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : November 3rd, 2015-12:37
Dear ianny and christianch, I am wondering how you feel about the watch now it has gotten a little bit of time to sink in? Still the same? Do you wear it a lot? Or is it maybe a tad to \'normal\' / \'under the radar\'?

well well...I had a few more incomings

 By: christianch : November 4th, 2015-14:00
like the omega seamaster "spectre" edition and an omega chrono sedna gold first omega in space that took a bit more wrist time to be honest. The Lange is still well loved and admired altho I was a bit surprised to see the second limited edition in honey g...

for your reaction! I\'m still contemplating between this watch and the FPJ Chronometre Bleu. But now I got invited to go to the Lange factory (didn\'t say no to that of course) and have a look around so I\'ll probably end up with the Lange... ;-)

I have tried the FPJ Chronometre bleu before buying this Lange and...

 By: christianch : November 5th, 2015-03:10
Well let me tell you my opinion: first the FPJ boutique didn't allow me to take any photo of my wrist with the watch. This was very weird so I asked why and they said these were the instruction of FP Journe. I didn't really like this and found it a bit ab...

tnx for the heads up

It\'s an eccentric man, isn\'t he? Legibility is important to me. I was already guessing that the Chronometre is more of a \'toy\' / \'fun\' watch. The 1815 is suitable for almost all occasions and I do like that simplicity of the pt & black (dial) a lot ...

You're not alone. I am equally enamoured and hope to be able to acquire a Chrono Bleu too when my ammunition is replenished. Trust me, my pics do not do sufficient justice to it. The dial legibility is excellent despite its gloss so you shouldn't be too c...
