In my opinion, the Lange 1 is the foundational piece of Lange. When Lange was relaunched in the 90’s it was one of the first pieces produced.

As for the Zeitwerk, I admired the simple look that hides a mechanical marvel. The time bridge (borrowed from Semper Opera House in Dresden) is a marvel to behold every 60 seconds as it changes. The movement—the winding and barrel mechanism, the remontoir... 

That makes a lot of sense...

Can't argue with the Lange 1 being the foundation, it has the most beautiful dial-side design imo. The Zeitwerk is incredible. It was the first Lange I ever saw (when one of my former boss' showed it to me). My fascination with it was what started me on t...
