That one's surely a story that just keeps growing!

If I might introduce even more confusion, though, I noticed this time around in the second drawing for the c.284/"283 Rg" that the balance cock would be engraved with 'OXG', the US Customs "House" designation, which might tend to imply that the design was at some point perhaps intended for export to the US market. 

I can't see from the photos if your movement is thusly marked...

Hello everyone.... Back in 1999 I came across a odd looking Omega on ebay. I was very interested in buying the watch. I placed what I thought was a high bid for the watch. The auction did not make its reserve price. I then proceeded to contact the seller....
