1972 royal oak

1975 laureato

1976 nautilus

Many reasons why the laureato did not become as grail as the royal oak and the nautilus. Most have nothing to do with the watch. Circumstance and some poor decisions by GP.

Today, if management gets inventory control, marketing, bad ADs under control/fired, starts to engage with collectors, gets the history and messaging straight, the laureato can easily join the ranks.

But nothing to do with the watch per se.

On the wrist today. Stealthy because this is dial matches the steel case and bracelet. The GP laureato was launched in 1975 and the Royal Oak in 1972. Both giants. GP is actually older than AP. Both executed well. The Royal Oak is more bling and say here ...

Well put πŸ‘

Bling for the RO I don’t know but for sure the Laureato is a very nice watch too and much more under the radar πŸ˜‰

That grey dial gets me every time. The Laureato was before the Nautilus though, correct?

Interesting how it was released in same period as RO and Nautilus but was not the topic of craze like the others. I don’t get it.
