Relying on one line to generate disproportionate profits puts the company at risk - if tastes will change (and they do - RO and Nautilus were not popular at the beginning, late 80s Rolex dealers refused Daytonas for trade) the profits will plunge at AP. Nowadays companies are much larger than before, it will be very hard to scale back from the manufacturing levels they have now.


That’s why TS is adamant about limits on steel production, he doesn’t want to become like AP is now.
