HYT is back…

Reading about Kari Voutilainen being the new manager and CEO of Urban Jurgensen was interesting news this morning, and I came across this article as well on the resurrection of HYT.

Interesting watches and I’m sure there are many who love their collections - at least with this happening, there is still life for watches that defy the “normal” realm.

Ugh, no. HYT needs to stay dead.

They sold watches that usually broke and then they charged a lot of money to service the watches. It was a perfect way to kill any following and the company deserves death.

As an engineer, I find it fascinating

I don’t own any of their watches and don’t see myself doing so, as I find them too big mostly and I don’t think liquids belong inside a mechanical watch, but the fascination is there, because they dare to be different

I do like the design and filosofie of the HYT brand

Very innovative but all i hear is they break down easily so thats why i stay away from them for now . Congrats to mr Kari V for his new role in the UJ company.
