Announcing Theme for WS of next Friday May 15th : "Watches and Toys" …

May 13, 2020,10:20 AM

Hello friends!!

I will have the pleasure of hosting next edition of WS and thought it would be interesting to explore together this Theme: "Watches and Toys".

It is often said that main difference between toys of adults and children is in their prices. Adults love for cars and watches are good examples of that popular saying.

Anyway, I feel we often keep carrying forever in our adult hearts and souls the love for toys we have loved and enjoyed in our childhood.

Electric trains, miniature cars, scale planes, baseball cards, JI Joe dolls, etc. etc. still haunt us through toys we have kept through many years or toys we have bought as adults for our own children … or for our own pleasure.

The challenge this week end will be to share your favorite toys (or your children´s toys if they allow you to play with them! Lol!) together with your favorite watches and to tell us something about those toys you still love.

In my personal case my favorite toys were electric trains and small cars and airplanes and I still keep some of those pieces which have been enjoyed by me, then by my children and now enjoy my grandchildren as well.

I feel that often those toys reflect some passions and obsessions we carry on as adults, like my small collection of Bond´s Aston Martins or my collection of Helmet divers figurines.

Please wait to my Opening Post next Friday noon (UTC) to start posting "Watches and Toys".

Best cordial regards, Abel.
