New Owner of a Lange Saxonia Annual Calenda; Question about accuracy please.

I am not an accuracy freak. I got over that many years ago. However with my new to me Lange AC I am having some trouble. It’s accuracy is extremely dependent on Position. Overnight (8hrs) it will gain 7 seconds when placed dial down. Dial up it loses 3 seconds and crown up it loses 7 seconds over night. I think on my wrist it loses a few seconds in a day although I need to check that.

Is this kind of variability normal? The watch was fully serviced in 2019. It’s still under warranty. Apparently it went to service for running slow. Most of my Pateks run 2 seconds per day.

Thanks very much.
CB.
Ps. It’s a great watch. I am really enjoying it.

I had a similar problem with my 1815 chronograph when I bought it.

It turned it it needed to be demagnetized.

Same issue with my Langematik (when I owned it).

For all its beauty, the movement had a flat balance spring, a lever regulator, and a lot of hardware sticking out of its balance wheel. It was never going to be a superior timekeeper.

My 1815 runs 5.1 secs fast per day

Constantly - it is the same every day....I’ve sent it in more than once to get it regulated and each time it comes back still behaving the same way. I’ve accepted it and just adjust the watch once every two weeks....have been doing it for 3 years now ;-) ...

+/- 21 seconds/day in any position is not normal. It's way off.

I'd get it demagnetized and then get anyone with a timing machine to check it out in different positions when fully wound. I'd do that before sending it in because once you send it in, you'll be without if for several months.

My Saxonia Annual Calendar needs service for accuracy

My Saxonia Annal Calendar also has accuracy issues and I planned to send it in for service. The pandemic has made me tolerate this - checking and correcting time every couple days as necessary. I wondered if magnetization caused this and went through Hodi...
