Boutique just sold me an Act 1 - I thought they were sold out
So a sales person at BlancPain I was talking to about the Act 3 texts me out of nowhere and says he is getting an ACT 1 and asked if I wanted it, which is weird because I thought they were sold out online. Either way, I ended up putting down a full deposi...
Congratulations....just me thinking, Marketing and sales tactics. They want to make you feel lucky, special and you will give them $$ happily, still kissing their feet.
Maybe you are really lucky and special, well loved by them. Enjoy regardless, it's a "sought after" watch.

I guess I more in shock/confusion trying to wrap my head around something being "sold out" and then "not sold out", oh well. I guess I'll finally be able to see this in person now...LOL

Sounds like a loophole. As in they still have some they can pass around to boutiques 🤷♂️
A would-be buyer probably signed up for one then backed out.

Not surprised - brands have to send the message of strong demand and show that limited editions sell out in minutes.
Regardless, I have said it a few times and will say it again - for me this is the best modern FF. I think you will be very happy when you see it in person.

The whole reservation system was questionable implemented, the long cart reservation meant the run showed sold out when it really wasn't, hard to access, etc and I imagine there's no way they didn't hold back some for vips. Personally, I never understood ...
What about the Act3 you are talking with the boutique?
Do you have to option to back out if you dont like what you see?

Is that the boutique asks for a full deposit but can't guarantee you get the watch. I still can't get over that and have not given a full deposit. Return-wise I believe, for any BlancPain, as long as you didn't wear it, I think you can return it within 14...

Yes. Brands always want something "sold out" on their website - even if that's not entirely true. Online inventory isn't the same as store inventory too. They come from separate inventory pools. And the "sold out" online is also a marketing move too.

They love it when they've sold enough of their inventory to say "Please Click Here To Inquire." As it creates hype! Right now, there's a rush on certain colors of fountain pen ink! Because some brands have simply put on their website "SOLD OUT ONLINE."
