It's visually striking and I was excited to get in line for one of the early production runs.

I found the MIH quite wearable (pretty average wrist) and there should be no worries about service. For what it's worth, the chrono function is mostly useless with the minute accumulator on the back. But you can leave the chrono running if you want a seconds hand. Something a little quirky to know is that the day changes at both midnight and noon based on how it is designed.

Good luck with your decision.

Any thoughts on the MIH watch?

Hello all! Does anyone have info they can share about the wearing and owning experience of the original MIH watch? I really like the simple look of it that hides two cool complications, and I have the opportunity to add one to the collection, but I'm conc...

And hence cannot comment on the wearability part with much confidence (the short lug design should definitely help with smaller wrists) the serviceability should be very decent. The movement base is the 7750, so rock solid and the annual calendar complica...

Thank you for the input!

The diameter is definitely less of my concern - mainly the thickness. I will PM you if I don't plan on going for it!

Hi there - the watch is iconic ! The watchmakers and designers that collaborated on this project are all masters (Paul Gerber, Ludwig Oechslin, Christian Gafner ..) and that will never happen again!

Such a special design with simplicity in easthetic and the way the complications have been designed. Annual Calendar, Mono-pusher chronograph, 24 Indicator - Genius! I think it wears very well on the wrist because of the short lugs - it does sit higher on...

Thanks for the insights!

I agree, it is a very historic watch and the level of complication for the simplicity it has is quite attractive. Good to know that Embassy will be servicing it! I am then concerned about the size esp thickness making the watch unwieldy

Exactly, this is my concern. I have usually not kept the thicker, sportier watches that I've added to the collection before (as much as I've liked designs etc), so this is a deliberation

1. It has a lot of customized movement parts, such as hour wheel and automatic wheels, which are difficult to repair 2. The calendar zone is very long, usually can not be adjusted between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m., otherwise it is easy to damage the hour wheel. 3...
