Plexi crystal isn\'t on all three... I am now counting the seconds until the Railmaster is in my hands!
Well I should've been more specific.
By: Harry2 : March 22nd, 2017-15:33
We\'ll see, I need to hold it and make that decision. I sent an email instantly to the Sydney boutique though! So hopefully as soon as it\'s in I\'ll get to see it! I just asked \'to be on the waiting list\'.

Seamaster.

You know I love that watch. 39 mm!!!!!!! Yohooooo! Vte
Am i the only one?
By: crown comfort : March 22nd, 2017-05:43
who starts to think that the industry is overdoing the re-release of vintage models? The execution is excellent, no doubt and they will sell out for sure, so cannot blame Omega at all. On the other hand, as a vintage watch lover, I have mixed feelings. Li...

No, you are not alone.
By: VMM : March 22nd, 2017-05:58
I had same mixed feelings, in some way I find it unfair for the owners of the originals, but as a possible new owner of the watch I like, I couldn't be happier. Have I said it already? Best. Vte
Yes, that's another issue.
By: VMM : March 22nd, 2017-07:48
One of my biggest complaints about this "retro fever", is about crazy prices. I respect and understand it, but from my passion I find it unfair, probably because I can not afford them, but that's the way I feel it. In this material world we live in these ...
i am in two minds on it.....
By: Baron - Mr Red : March 22nd, 2017-06:21
....i actually like teh concept of owning both a modern and a vintage of teh same piece. At the same time, it does seem to be de rigeur across the industry to use this M.O. as it is so popular. On balance, I go with the trend. Further....take the original...
Only the Seamaster interests me.
By: MichaelC : March 22nd, 2017-06:44
The kit is obtainable but I'll pass. I do like the cleaner dial on the RM, but the Seamaster's bezel is just a thing of beauty.
i was just thinking that.....
By: Baron - Mr Red : March 22nd, 2017-07:15
......but i have the original SM300 with original bezel and insert....so that changes the equation for me...i am torn
You are fully set. Nothing here for you.
By: MichaelC : March 22nd, 2017-07:54
I tend to agree with Arie's opinion about re-editions. I have an easier time with how TAG handled the Autavia - yes, there are clear differences, and owners of the originals will not have interest. But their pieces are also not directly copied. So I prefe...
See I am also torn between the two
By: Harry2 : March 22nd, 2017-15:41
I do wish they updated the RM just a little with a screw down crown, especially since it\'s an automatic. I understand that perhaps this was not possible because of the size of the crown. I also want a plexi Speedy Pro... I still haven\'t got one. Perhaps...
Good thing
By: TS1987 : March 22nd, 2017-07:48
You can buy it on its own. Good thinking Omega.
LOL! [nt]
By: amanico : March 22nd, 2017-08:08
The trio is a superb attempt from Omega to cater to ordinary collectors
By: Prodyutb : March 22nd, 2017-08:44
You could deliberate over whether vintage re-editions are \'unfair\' etc etc, but hey, for the vast majority of passionate collectors, what better way to acquire something that they could comfortably enjoy wearing every day! On the other hand, if one pref...

See I don't see it that way
By: Harry2 : March 22nd, 2017-15:44
I don\'t think it looks \'old\'. The tritium lime watches look old, but they also look cool. So therefore, if we can make new Lume look a similar colour and it looks cool. Then let\'s make the watch with those tones. To me, it makes sense. They could\'ve ...
I agree in almost all cases

But, as with many things in life, I feel that there are exceptions.

No argument there!
By: Arie - Mr Orange : March 22nd, 2017-10:09
But I\'m sure Rolex knows what they are doing as they have made few mistakes in their collection-line up-history. I think we should not forget that here on PuristSPro the taste in watches and the knowledge of them is extremely sophisticated compared to th...
I am getting this.

Don\'t know what or which or all, but something.
I'm definitely in for the Railmaster and the Speedy
By: reintitan : March 22nd, 2017-09:40
Notice the watches in the Trilogy box set have extra writing on the dial (1957-2017 I believe) and some extra engraving on the caseback. For me I don't want a date range printed on the dial so I'm buying mine separately. My favorite watch this year is def...
you may be correct....
By: Baron - Mr Red : March 22nd, 2017-11:08
......not sure how i feel about itr....the trio set need to be differentiated somehow......the date, if subtle could be quite cool.
Here's what Hodinkee says about the box set versions
By: reintitan : March 22nd, 2017-11:58
"Note that it will also be possible to purchase a set with the three watches together, again in a limited edition of 557 examples, and Omega announced that those will bear dedicated engravings on the caseback and an extra script on the dial . The set will...
Good on Omega. Some thoughts:
By: brandon1 : March 22nd, 2017-10:10
A very cool trio. I love that Omega seems to be right-sizing the cases a bit and appear to happily omit the dreaded (feared?) date window. Two thoughts: 1. When will we see an homage to the Seamaster with curvy lugs? I think a reissue of the the MoD Seama...

Railmaster for me!
By: Speedie74 aka Mr. Torquise : March 22nd, 2017-12:42
Have already ordered! Why the Railmaster? It is the only one, which is not produced at the moment from Omega, the Seamaster 300 and the Speedie has a lot of iterations. It is the only one which has 15.000 Gauss, it is the "cheapest" , it is the most uncom...
It doesn't bother me at all!
By: Speedie74 aka Mr. Torquise : March 22nd, 2017-13:50
Because I have never had the original one, I didn\'t get used to it! Just like at the Jaeger Geophysic Tribute: I loved the watch despite of the automatic movement! I find a new, modern movement much more better than a simple, \'old\' one, especially in t...

By: amanico : March 23rd, 2017-23:31
But Omega doesn't have a manual wind movement
By: reintitan : March 22nd, 2017-15:43
that can withstand >15,000 Gauss of magnetism. So rather than make the Railmaster a faux-anti-magnetic watch like IWC does with their modern Ingenieur models, I'm glad Omega gave this Railmaster its actual tool-watch functionality with the automatic movem...
Seamaster is my favorite
By: vitalsigns : March 22nd, 2017-13:24
Good size, and overall faithful rendition to the original, even if I could have tolerated (even preferred!) reversing the markings on the bezel (count up instead of count down). Do they have plexi crystals? Speedmaster is nice too, but the Seamaster wins ...
Too bad about the sapphire.
By: vitalsigns : March 22nd, 2017-13:49
Understood regarding the count down bezel; just expressing that I may have preferred the count up bezel, even though it would be a departure from history. Cheers, and thank you for the report, John

it is fascinating to see the spectra of reactions elicited by the three... I have been waiting for a Railmaster reissue. I have never seen the original in the flesh, and did not even know it was 38 mm or manual wind (although I might have guessed the latt...

I missed out on the steel JLC Tribute to Geophysic due to time of entry and cost, and have not been impressed with "second gen" geophysic steel dial/hands/date, although the jumping seconds doesn't bother me. Whilst awaiting a novel JLC steel piece that s...

Recommended prices for railmaster, seamaster, and speedmaster excluding taxes are 6300, 6500, 6700 CHF respectively. Trio cost around 20k but it does come with leather carrying case, strap changer tool wooden boxes, old small box for three and two leather...

I allow myself to doubt that. We'll see that in 60 years time... My Ck 2913 starts after the sligtest movement and keeps excellent time. Do I need of extoll the virtue of cal. 321? As far as ck 2914, cal. 284/5 or 6 are no lame ducks, believe me. Are you ...

Although I had expected it, still this Trilogy is a nice offering of a anniversary series, which I really like. To be honest, case sizes are quite ok for me, I don\'t mind the faux patina, as it generates a fine overall impression. When thinking about & a...
