Montblanc hasn't differentiated the buyer of a Minerva movement watch from the buyer of a quartz movement watch.
Your service experience is adding to my feeling that MB is mismanaging the Minerva brand. I was surprised the "1858" line was branded "Montblanc" rather than "Minerva" at the outset, then the decision to put the "1858" dial as an option on the Summit smart watch really left me scratching my head.
I remain very happy with my 1858 Tachy and find its Minerva movement mind-blowing, but I'm dismayed with MB's brand management which isn't helping owners of their high-end pieces.
