SJX is just too kind....

I shot a whole lot more but he graciously kept them to a handful. After shooting that evening, I handed the CompactFlash card over to him for him to process the images. I am currently so tied up during and after office hours that I do not have the luxury of the hours needed to process the images.  Thanks JX!

Thanks also to Bernard and Mike Tay and Alan Teo and the crew from Hourglass for making the evening work out so well. Bernard - congrats on a truly monumental timepiece. I am sure you patience with me for awhile to find the time to process the HM1 images into a Photomontage will pay off. Some of the images I checked are amongst my best I have taken.

BTW - for photographic buffs who were wondering how I shot these images. It was combination of Full Manual or Program Mode. Focussing was completely manual all night. It was too dark to auto-focus so I work with estimation of distance on the scale and fired away. Also, I kept firing the preflash to make sure that the ETTL expsoure compensation got it spot on.

I just also realised that I did not shoot any of the dancing, the live music bands, the dancing juggling bartenders and of course the beautiful hostesses! :-(

Too engrossed with old friends and watches.

Cheers

Anyone asked what were we doing with the spark plug?

JX, thanks for the post. Harry, thanks for fantastic pictures, at that dim lighting, we need your spark-plug LED light to see clearly....the pictures are so illuminated! The HM1 looked massive, even in metal, however, it sits and looks pretty good on all ...

Kong - what an outstanding idea - a short video to get a feel of the place...

What did you use? A Nokia N95? We should have used your camera to do a video of the HM1 watch! Cheers Harry

Thanks!
