The Air Command was produced for approximately 8-9 years...

... so my rough guess is that somewhere between 2000 to 4000 pieces have been produced over the years. The Trilogy collection was very successful at the time.

There are no official production numbers published, and that is quite normal in the industry. That there are still a few NOS pieces waiting for a customer is quite normal as well.

In the past 10 years Blancpain‘s annual production went from approximately 8000 to slightly above 20000.

I do not get your point regarding exclusivity. As Will has shown in his reply there seem to be interesting ways some products take. Once in the market, it is not always possible for a manufacturer to control those in all aspects. Your example seems to be the typical odd one.

Anyway, maybe you can specify your intention of the post, as I personally do not entirely understand the point.

It’s a very nice Air Command you have, I really like the tritium patina that’s showing in the indexes.

Cheers
Henrik

I am aware that Blancpain is a small volume manufacturer compared to larger companies like Rolex or Omega. My question is this. How many watches does Blancpain normally produce for their non limited edition watches ? My Air Command is 18 years old now, ye...

Shocked to see a Patek for sale at Costco. When I think about, watches are probably no different than automobiles. When a car dealership signs on with a brand name manufacturer, they enter and sign a franchise contract. In that contract, a manufacturer wi...

If you go on Amazon and search Dinosaur Bones I can guess you will find them for sale. Does that mean Dino's are still roaming the earth and have authorized Amazon to sell their gear? Just because Costco or Amazon advertises something for sale, does not m...

Way back when (18+ years ago) when i was considering purchasing a new watch, I tried not to make an impulse decision, and seriously took my time researching and pondering what to buy. A couple close family member's and some close friends sported a Rolex o...

Big difference between Amazon and a marketplace / third party seller offering something for sale on Amazon

I didn’t know Amazon itself is an AD for any major brand. Did you look to see if it is truly Amazon selling it, or is a marketplace / third party seller?
