The Zenith Prime was ...
... produced from 1995 to 1999 and then evolved into the 40mm "HW". So this example is about 15 years old and had a service a couple of years back for a broken sapphire crystal.
I should mention that it's not only the day-to-day accuracy, but the long term stability of the movement that is most impressive. Even before the shattered crystal forced my hand, I was putting off the 'routine' service because the watch was running so well. So for a watch where one might expect more wear and tear, this doesn't seem to be an issue. Great engineering from Zenith.

How accurate is your El Primero? . . .

My El Primero is in the same legue
as my Rolexes. During the last month around +3 seconds per day. In general this Zenith is a bit more accurate than my watches in average but can't compete with i.e. my Nautilus, Fifty Fathoms ot Royal Oak. Best, Kari

Click here for my results from January , the last time I wore it for a prolonged period. My experience generally is that it's very accurate, even better than +2.9 seconds per day. And very consistent too. I went from worrying that it would wear itself out...

that Zenith is definitely one of my favorites in my small collection. My silver dial Omega 8500AT seems to lose time in lockstep with the El Primero, losing a second every other day as well.

It seems that the El Primero needs some "wake up" time after being on the safe for some time. I don't see this happening with other movements that I own. I had one that had fabulous precision, after 2-3 days on the wrist but before that it was just inside...
