The reason is quite simple, Nicolas - it's because . . .
. . . the legendary 5011K pocket watch chronometer movement is "under the hood". This is not an ordinary movement, by any stretch of the imagination. It was developed in the '50s, after the cal 135 wristwatch chronometer movement, and performed exceedingly well in its category at observatory trials.
A wristwatch of this size with practically any other movement would richly deserve critical scrutiny, but not in this case (pun intended!). A current issue of the 30T2rg by Omega or 9"' - 90 by Patek would be greeted by acclaim, and this Zenith deserves no less. Granted, only a few will ever be able to wear it without inviting raised eyebrows, but for those that can pull it off, this watch represents a link with the past that many of us could revere.
