the first of this “Special” series, the D’Aéronef Type 20 Pilot, was a fabulous piece, all 57.5 mm of it. the mechanical hand-wound 5011K movement, with the see-through caseback. You could gaze at the 19-jewel movement complete with Côtes de Genève stripingacross with rhodium-plated bridges. I would like to see a photo of the movement in the back of this new piece. The dial looks good and I wish Zenith well for the future.

They keep on getting better and better but at 40mm I think it’s a little small for my taste. Would have preferred a 45mm instead. I also wish they would make a Ltd Edition of the 48mm GMT but in bronze. I’d pull the trigger without even blinking. Laurent ...

Most times, people complaint that brands are making watches too big. Zenith makes a 40mm diameter watch (against the trend) but now they're too small? What to do? Regards, MTF
Not at all! 40mm is a good size but not for this particular model.
These Type 20s do wear smaller than size suggests. That being said my 45mm bronze wears like a 42-43mm. For instance my IWC big pilot wears the same as the 48mm GMT. Producing a 40mm version will definitely target new clients but I don’t see myself wearin...
Covers wide range of needs
The 40mm size gives a wider range of customer as it will fit on most wrist sizes and even female users. As you said, maybe not with a business suit but otherwise most sportive circumstances are suitable. I'm not committed to the blue trend but this one se...
