Interesting - neither appears to be the current regular production CP-2, which, to the best of my knowledge, comes only in bronze or "aged" steel, with a display back.

There we go! My mistake above was that I wasn't specific enough - should have written "CP-2 Flyback" to begin with! 😳 [nt]
To which point, I don't think it ever fully registered with me that the LE wasn't a flyback movement.
