. . . and their reply was "Millésime" means that watch was created in that particular year. Not being fluent in French, I checked the online dictionary and found this definition from Wiktionary:
millésime m. (plural millésimes)
1. year, date
There's also another meaning for "millésime", according to Dictionary Reverso: vintage.

Zenith calls it "patina finish" and suggests one treat it with care, so instead if being tougher it's actually a less resilient finish.

Love the Neo-Vintage. I suspected that would be it because I'm not aware of other 2006 limited edition ChronoMasters. The black one in particular is one of my grails. Congrats it's a uniqe beauty.
