Yes, there has to be a reason why they did not use bronze for the buckle.
I have also customised a couple of straps to fit after-mkt bronze buckles, the pix are in another post.

According to both Panerai and Zenith explanation, bronze material when contacted with skin, might to some caused allergy therefore they both use titanium for their buckle. Shouldn't they provide this choice to consumer instead of their own? I would be muc...

Zenith should have made it an option. And because the strap is not so common 23/21 size, I had no choice but to get 22 mm after mkt bronze buckles and customise some 23/22 mm straps.
