Zenith

Last year I was lucky enough to aquire my first 1964 Zenith, a 9ct gold cased 40T hand wind. I was so impressed by the quality of the movement that I have been on the lookout for an automatic Zenith from the same year ever since. A couple of weeks ago I f...  

But here, for sure, Zenith was never a major player (Omega ruled here during the 40-60's). Yours looks good. Nothing that a visit to your watchmaker cannot fix. . Congratulations and now you need a El Primero. Cheers, NIlo

Thanks Nilo, I agree that i would like a chrono, but an el primero would mean breaking the theme. I have done it for other watches so never say never, but i would prefer a chrono from 64 i think. I've had an el primero in the past and they are great watch... 

I must admit i can't keep count of your 1964 watches .. time for me to come over and admire your collection once again. I love the case on this Zenith ... looks as if it's got a gold bezel :-) and combined with that gold colored dial it's perfectly propor...

Thanks Joe and no prizes for guessing who the purist with the S58 was :) I think they are a great brand, but with one hand wind and one auto i'm about done unless i find a nice chrono from 64. There are other brands i dont have such as IWC, Heuer et al so...
