Beauty in B&W

I was thinking about the post "The second most beautiful ..." by Spellbound when I look the watch that I'm wearing and decided to take a few pics.

This watch may not be everyone "cup of tea" but on that moment it was "The most beautiful watch in the UNIVERSE".

The lightning was terrible, just one from my home office (I hate to take pics with artificial light) but I decided to bump the ISO, just to see how far a basic Canon S100 goes and ... I liked the outcome.

Of course I adjusted the "White balance", a must when you use artificial light.

After that, I did a conversion to B&W. Very little post processing.

Ah, the watch is a Zenith El Primero New Vintage 69 in black Titanium (Limited to 250 pieces, released in 2009)

I'm hooked in B&W pictures since I started with photography, many decades back.

Kind of retro, yet futuristic. What Zenith need is a hit like the Royak Oak series. And to nail a hit, they need a little more consistency IMO. They seem all over the place ! Great photos by the way.

Consistence is not a strong point on most of the manufacturers

And this includes Zenith. At least Zenith is one of the most consistent, movement wise. El Primero, 44 years "on the road" and keep going. Cheers, Nilo

The black indicators contrast really well with the metal parts on the skeleton dial. IMO the color pic shows it off best. Is the clasp a buckle or deployant? Is it also blacked out? -MW

They mean it: The strap, black of course, is matte black and the buckle (pin) is also made of titanium is matte black. Cheers Nilo

Fantastic pictures! Congrats on an amazing watch. My understanding is that very few came into the US. It really has a completely different take on the New Vintage 1969.

It's limited edition to 250 pieces ...

it is just unique. I remember seeing pictures of these when it came out but have never actually seen one in person, congrats again and wear it in good health
