I really like that watch, and the Deluca line overall. May I just add two tiny corrections to your marvelous post? Only the last release of the Deluca had screwdown pushers, while its predecessor had some kind of smooth sleeves around the pushers, that had no function. And the last version, the one with the screw-down pushers, had a sapphire crystal, not a mineral one.

The main reason why I eventually sold it was its poor legibility. Whenever the rhodium-plated hands passed over the white subdials, they practically vanished. This problem it shares with many modern chronographs as well. Rhodium-plated hands might be elegant and express a certain value, but there is no better legible combination than white-lacquered hands above a black dial, or black or blued hands above a white or silver one.
