At least with the Espada, they got the length of the hour hand relative to the hour indexes right. Not so with the other 36kvph, Open ChronoMaster, Sun&Moonphase were the hand is far too short, which is odd since with the Captain line they placed emphasis on that detail.

Zenith unveiled a very wide range of novelties at Baselworld! My fav of the new offer? The Espada without any doubt! Fr.Xavier...

WOW!

I will of course come back to them. Fx

Thanx, FX! Always good to have realistic context . . .

. . . to assist in making sensible comparisons, especially this year due to the massive Aeronef Type 20. As for myself, the Doublematic is the most intriguing novelty . . . not that I'm much of a globetrotter , but it seems to offer more than the usual fa...

Yes Art...

This watch was also one of the key novelties. This ability to mix WT and alarm complications is a bit a Zenith speciality... Fx

Price in Euros is 9,900...

...same Calibre as Nataf's 'Multicity' that was almost double the price. Dan

Did you have the chance to hear the alarm? ...

... the problem of most mechanical alrm wristwatches is that their sound volume is too faint to wake up someone rather reliably. Regards, Marcus

The Espada is indeed very nice.

I would say that it has a slight vintage touch to ifs design. Best regards, George

Exactly George...

And you have the charm of the 5hz.... Fx

That Aéronef is killing me !!!

 By: Bruno.M1 : March 20th, 2012-00:01
The Pilot (big date) looks nice and i really like the Elite red gold with blue hand. The Aéronef is imo the most sprecial watch I saw in the last 5 years. Still hesitating about's it's size but man that is something special.

The size is a part of the concept.

 By: foversta : March 20th, 2012-15:42
Don't analyse it like with an usual watch: big is a part of its interest. The watch is huge. The question is not to know if the watch is bulky or not. It is. The question is to know if you are ready to wear such big watch. Fx

I must agree ...

The Espada seems the nicest design, followed closely by the Pilot Big Date. The Type 20 and Doublematic are intriguing too, but too large for me. Thank you for the wonderful wrist shots!

You're welcome, it is a pleasure. [nt]
