Yes it is a central seconds chronograph, the winged hand is the chronograph hand.

It is one of a batch of 800 which were made for the South African Air Force in the Eighties, most of which were subsequently
destroyed by them.

The 5102 movement is derived from the 5100 and I believe in this variation was only used for military watches,
a few of these were also issued to us Brits, but I've never seen one of those in the flesh.

This was a grail of mine for a long time and I was thrilled when I got it.
