Nothing spectacular ...
the lady who owns the watch changed the orignal movement with a quartz movement from ETA. The original one worked well, but was unpleasend to wind - for her. Now it is gone and there is nothing written on the dial. Can´t see any brand signature, the stone setting is somehow "poor" ... at least the case is made in platinum.
The owner liked it a lot, but now she feels it is too small on her wrist. Will the watch survive? Let´s see ... there are not that many (reasonable) possibilities - keeping or melting down.

Blomman, I consider this as a double offense. Memovox and Chocolate. Gorgeous watch and dial and it follows, of was followed, by the dial design of the E871 (JLC logo balancing with the date on the other side). For us, all the newbies. What is this model?...

Not yet – still miss many Memos…! This lady is a decolourised E 875 aka “Speedbeat” from the Cal 916 28800bph. Earlier Memos with the Cal 825 has a bph of 18000. From the beginning this one was blue like the one to the left in pic. Thank you, Nilo! HAGWE ...

We had a lovely sunny autumn day today ...
... and I was wearing both watches. The YG dial of the Octa has a crystalline, granular surface that catches the light in all different ways. In low light it's just a matt yellow. It's one of the charming things about the watch. Thanks Blomman. Andrew

I do like this strap a lot. I also have a black strap that I'll switch off for when I drive another one of our cars. Does anyone else match their straps to their cars?

Well, you'd like Korea, then I agree that the lugs are an under-appreciated bit of the Dato -- they really help a lot in keeping what is a very thick watch planted well on the wrist and looking more or less in proportion. Best, Gary
