A David Walter Double Pendulum Clock – Part 20, First Pictures of Complete Clock

David has sent me the first pictures of the finished clock.
A marvel of handcrafting, Davids hands.
































The complete specificaions:

Double Pendulum Clock with Planisphere and wandering Moon by David Walter.

Features;

Double Pendulum clock with two independent month going movements.

Left hand movement;

Equation of time indication.
Sunrise and Sunset with annual calendar.
Perpetual Calendar with day, date, month and leap year indications.
Retrograde date.
Equation date.

Right hand movement;
Sidereal time.

Wandering moon feature with a platinum moon disc.
Sun hand with a 22K sunburst.
The wandering moon rotates once per civil day, the sun rotates once per lunation, approximately 29.5 days.
The lunar feature shows, no moon, new moon and all the moon's phases, waxing and waning of the moon, age of the moon and the angle of the moon to the sun.
Planisphere, the disc is solid Lapis Lazuli with 22K gold lines inset to the stone and 22K gold stars of 5 different sizes representing stars of differing magnitudes.

Both movements are fully jeweled.

Fused Silica pendulum rods.

Riefler style solid brass pendulum bobs.

The case is of the finest flame mahogany with ebony inlays.

Height; 85 inches or 7ft 1in (2.16meters)
Width; 20 1/2 inches (0.52 meters)
Depth; 12 1/2 inches (0,32 meters)

I've been following all the posts, and hadn't been able to get purists' site to work on my older browsers until now for comments. Haven't had time to update, I use an older build of linux, a serious pain in the rear to update. I had so many detailed quest...
