I was referring to VC's Hommage to the Great Explorers, which you had
mentioned in a precious post. I guess one has to be precise when
talking about Explorer watches! 
When I first looked at the new Overseas Automatic with the black dial
at a retailer a couple of years ago the dealer was dismissive of it,
calling it a Rolex Explorer wannabe. Vacheron Constantin's vengeance is
so great that the AD went bankrupt and the salesman fled the country
with his family. (The bankruptcy and fleeing are true-the wrath of VC
is fictional)
