more (and longer) prestigious history;
depending on the "audience" a more "prestigious brand"
MUCH more handwork vis a vis Rolex and JLC.
There are similar parallels in the car world - Toyota vs MB/BMW vs Aston Martin vs McLaren or Pagani
Same with Wines, leather goods, etc etc etc
