Well, Mark
...this watch has just grown on me more and more since it was first launched. I already have a VC with the cal. 4400 in it, so I removed the Malte from the running for the time being simply because I do not wish to duplicate movements in my small collection -- and for no other reason. There are too many VC/V&C calibers I wish to collect. That said, I have come dangerously close to breaking my own rule with respect to this watch, especially after seeing and trying on the 100th Anniversary version (two-hand v. three-hand).

This would make a nice pair, no? ;-)
But as you said, the Malte Small Seconds is a lovely three-hand watch. And lucky you to get to try on the Malte Tourbillon. That one is a dream.
Thanks for reminding me how much I like these new Maltes. It looks terrific on your wrist, by the way.
Best

thank you for sharing your thoughts on the new Malte watches from VC. I think a lot of people need to try on tonneau cased watches to see how nice they can be on the wrist. They are meant to be worn, not sit in the box or showcase. If you had x-ray vision...

Hey Bill, Yes, these tonneau shaped watches really deserve to be more appreciated. A question of "fad cycles" I guess and, as always, what is different from the average (round cases) is more difficult to come to. Thanks for the picture, I found your origi...
