The 222 remains one of my grail VC watches that I would like to acquire at some point in my collecting career. In spite of the limited production numbers there were some variations, the most unusual one amongst them the square version seen below: (Image c...  

I think the size would be best for a small wrist though.

Square watches tend to wear larger than round ones but that is also one of my concerns. While a 35-36mm round one works well enough with my wrists, I am not sure how that translates to square dimensions...

What got me thinking about the watch again - they do come up from time to time but are a bit of a risk completely blind, if you know what I mean. Would hesitate less with the 37mm standard 222, here a bit too unsure, unless someone with experience can pro...

The Square I find out of conventional and common round shape,stands different by it`s own. It`s beautiful.

You sum up the charm very well - quite unconventional, and misquoting Moser, \'very rare\'.

but I only rarely come across the 222, and have never seen the square one in person. Wish I could help. Bill

So in that case probably a lot rarer than the square AP RO, too - and not quartz Let\'s see if one turns up close enough to try on in the future...

I guess there was a \'hip to be square\' phase there, with a similarly shaped RO coming out at a similar time
