I ended up selling the other Patrimony. The black dial was just a little too stark for me.
The grey dial softened the look, and gave a warmer almost romantic effect compared to the black dial.
For me it really is the height of elegance. In part it's due to the interplay of colours, PT case and grey dial. But it's also the layout of the dial itself which I have always found very attractive. This is the ultimate expression of the design.
The other two I considered were the Excellence Platine which is quite beautiful and the Traditionelle with the baguette diamond markers. If that one had come with a grey dial I would have had a very difficult time choosing.

I did have my eye on that Traditionelle too But I preferred the layout on the Patrimony dial in the end. But it was not an easy choice.
