Great article. I have never bought from auctions before but am learning something new.
I heard from a friend VC also refurbishes vintage VC and sells them in restored conditions with new boxes and papers in their boutiques. Is that true? I guess only in their Geneva boutique right? I didn't see these in Singapore or HK boutiques.
Now if I see a vintage piece I really fancy, I will prefer to pay a premium for them in the VC boutique rather than go thru the auctions! I have a weak heart :p
