Hi,
Obviously as I've owned only three Vacheron constantin watches they are the three favourites I've owned!
My favourite is my new Malte Grande Classique.
Then it used to be this old lady reference 4073 that I sold in June.
And finally this ultra thin that I sold even longer ago.
But they are clearly not the three favourite Vacheron Constantin watches that I handled!
Clearly my favourite was this one:
I also loved this one:
And this one:

I may have added a Chronographe Historique, a Malte Tourbillon (the original), a Saltarello, a Audubon enamel series, .... many many great choices.

Making a List

Have you ever noticed how many top 5 lists are created on watch forums: What are the top 5 brands? Who are the top 5 independent watchmakers? What are the top 5 Rolex watches of all time? What are your top 5 grail watches? While these lists can sometimes ...

cause the Mercator is one of my all time favorites but gets little wrist time. The American 1921 has also become a modern icon but these 3 have a special place in my heart: Quai de l'Ile: Because it is what VC stands for, classical with a twist, it is a d...

Well, my relationship with Vacheron Constantin is still young, so I fear that I am not experienced enough to participate in this game, and I certainly cannot approach it without sounding like a broken record since I have already written about two of my ch...

1/ This awesome salmon dial chrono: 2/ Mercator Europe: 3/ Minute Repeater: 4/ Sputnik: 5/ Malte QP Chrono: It can't be better than that, for me... Aaah, yes, a Vintage Chronometre Royal, and a Vintage Triple Date moonphase would be awesome choices, too. ...

So now you're into the artsy photos too!! That tourbillon pic is pretty cool :-)) I was wondering about tantalum...is it hefty like platinum? Any distinctive feeling to the metal? BTW, hope you're up for a jog around Lac Leman in the New Year ;-)
Hi Dean,

I am sure taking you on that run buddy! As far as tantalum is concerned, I really love the look of it. Gives the watch a stealthy feeling to it and hase a bluish/grey hue to it depending on the light. It sure goes well with the palladium case which indeed...

The grande classic is gorgeous. I love the guilloché and the lugs. In a few years I will be pulling my hair out deciding between this and the patrimony traditionnelle small seconds. My only complaint is the numbers on the seconds dial. Guess my master geo...
