Quai de l'Ile Tantalum
I finally got the chance to see the limited edition Quai de l'Ile Tantalum watch with Palladium lugs. It is a stunner. This is the first time that I have seen the black hands as well, and I think they offer an improvement in legibility over the lighter color hands that the QDI was originally born with.
When picking up the watch you notice the weight of the tantalum right away.
I envy the 100 lucky collectors (such as Ishan) who will own this watch. The closest the rest of us can do in terms of looks is to create our own QDI, mixing titanium and palladium, though it obviously will make for a light weight watch.
