I am currently on the search for a decent VC pocket watch, as in decent both in condition and pricing, if that is possible in todays world. Beside the one that I already mentioned in this thread that has a little hairline crack in the Vacheron signed dial but othervise has a very nice movement I found two more that I might be interesetd in. On is a golden one, case signed, but with that I do have two things that are a little bugging me : no chaton and the color of the case parts is partly rose partly yellow gold somehow :
The second one is very tempting, case has VC marks so everything seems to be ok, besides these gold colors that are a little distrubing and me wondering while there is no gold chaton there where the other one has one.
The third is a little bit odd, but maybe also explainable : it is housed in a plain silver case and has an unsigned dial :
Interesting enough to find this one with swan neck in a silver case, but what I also noted is that the first one I posted in the thread and this last one have also mentioned "Adjusted" while the second one does not. SInce those two do not seem to have a VC signed case I was wondering if this can tell me something about the watches and the market they were made for - and eventually indirectly hint if they are legit as VC watches or just recased / redialed VC movements ( first one has a VC signed dial ).
Any help in deciding on these ( or continue the hunt ) is greatly appreciated.

Unsigned pocket watch case
Hello together, I am eyeing a nice pocket watch with what I think is a wonderful movement, ony problem I have is that the gold case is not signed. It shows a mark to indicate 18k and does have a serial number of six digits, both placed on the inner lid, b...

The seller was also saying that not all cases were marked and that for the US market also some movements had been cased in the US, hence not arriving from overseas. Eventually, my consideration came from the case being a 18k case, so not a cheap one.
It would be helpful to know what kind of watch it is or to see more of the movement

Movement looks like this : Serial number of the movement being 322xxx would place it around 1910 as far as I know - and I kind of like the movement . But just in case I might need to let repair work to be done that my local watchmaker can not cope with I ...

Addition on the silver one
The silver one is stated to have an inscription on the case stating "Keystone Watchcase" and "Silveroid" making it not quite the highest grade of cases if I understood the information on nawcc.org correctly - in harsh contrast to the movement imho.
