Vacheron Constantin

His Or Hers

Vintage V&C wrist watches were of a size that compliments women today and still suits men as well.  Mrs TT agreed to submit to "watch porn" as she called it, by sitting for this side-by-side pic for your thread.

The square-cased piece from the 1950s I'm wearing houses the caliber that gets my vote for the most beautiful manual winding movement; the 9-ligne cal.1001.

Mrs TT has on a 40s rectagular V&C.  It actually measures slightly smaller than the square piece, but the massive scroll lugs and domed crystal give it a larger presence IMHO. For me the treat is a genuine shaped caliber 435.  It is a loss that shaped movements are now restricted to the haute tourbillon pieces in the VC collection.

Admittedly I have a smallish wrist but back in the day these were the standard sizes for men and should not look out of place on either of the sexes today!  Thanks for bringing up this great topic, Bill smile
