Can anyone explain why Vacheron shortened the hour hand on the Patrimony Traditionelle small seconds (82172) compared to the (very similar) 41mm Traditionelle no seconds (43075)?
To my eyes, the hands of the former are the perfect length, just touching their markers, whereas on the latter the hour hand falls well short of touching the hour markers.
Why would they do that?
(I haven't posted photos - pictures are on the VC website (and elsewhere)).
