Who is the author of painting?
A great Vacheron Constantin pocket watch will appear on auction this month. The miniature enamel work is a masterpiece by Charles Poluzzi and its extremely rare.

However, I did not find the painting in Vermeer's catalogue.
indeed Vermeer painted another painting 《The Lacemaker》.The two works have very different artistic styles,so I don't think they were created by the same person.
The webpage stating that Frans Hals is the original author. It mentioned Vermeer earlier, but here it refer to someone else.Isn't that a contradiction?

Who is the author of painting?
According to my research, the original painting is by PIETER CORNELISZ. VAN SLINGELANDT (1640-1691)
Pulozzi is the enameler, but I see no connection between his enamel painting on that pocket watch and Vermeer's "Lacemaker".
