In truth I remained to true to my original Freak until the Freak Vision was released. Yes the original Freak is still dear to me but the differences between the Vision and the other Freak versions are significant enough that it had to come home. The styling is more modern and high tech. Though platinum the mixing in of titanium makes the weight very pleasing and it wears perfectly. The simple lines of the case are quite different from other models.
The technological advances are notable. The wings on the escapement and the anchor escapement are features that are significance. And yes the grinder to automatically wind the movement is a novelty that some may like but others may not.
Winding the movement is a bit difficult but UN has supplied an interesting device to wind it. The locking mechanism on the front prevents unintended change of the time. I like that the lock is less prominent to the eye compared to other versions.
Simplicity yet high tech. A wonderful combination.
