I have always respected the achievements of Ulysse-Nardin and its owner, Rolf Schnyder. But at the same I have always found a good number of UN watches to be unattractive, the designs tend to be, well, odd. The Freak was unorthodox but it was extreme, so ...

i've never been a huge fan of the dial set up of the Sonata, but the silicium dial gives it several different personalities all at once due to its colour changing. i agree with all of your negative points, even the hands. the bezel engraving is a big no n... 

No "limited edition" bezel engraving on actual series ...

The only LE I know is this Silicium... would be curious to see that OR I misread your post aznd you spoke about the Silicium version. If you can get a Silicium version at the price of a non silicium, it may be interesting, if you're in love with this Sona...
